Tin Top Regulations 2007

TinTop Racing is pleased to announce its dates for 2007. The races are for any capacity pre ’66 FIA compliant saloon cars unless otherwise stated (We hope to run sportscars races in the near future). Cars running in this series do not need to have FIA Papers but must be prepared in compliance with the widely understood FIA appendix ‘K’ regulations.

These may be inspected at the following website FIA.com

This allows competitors to build and prepare cars to a standard that is commonly applied through other series such as U2TC

Grand Prix Masters/Top Hat etc.

Principally cars must be presented in a manner compliant with their original homologation forms. Particular attention will be paid to dimensions, weight, 100mm ground clearance, cubic capacity, wheel type & track, steering wheel & seat location, dashboard etc.

Trim retention is desirable. Windows (except windscreen) may be Perspex or similar but must retain original opening systems.

Tyres must be Dunlop L or M section as appropriate.

All cars may display period sponsorship logos if they wish but must display the series &/or series sponsors logos applicable throughout the meeting.

All races are of one hour/one or two driver format unless stated otherwise.

The pit stop window in all races is open between 20 mins and 40 mins.

Solo drivers are required to exit the car completely and either proceed once around the car or take a gracious bow to the cheering crowds that equates to a similar duration.

Only one driver change may take place.

It is the competitors’ responsibility to inform the clerk of the course which driver will be starting the race.

No refueling during races is allowed.
